How can I get to the meeting?

Driving: Be aware that the A361through Barnstaple and Braunton gets quite congested so leave plenty of time for your journey.

Rail: Barnstaple train station is 7.7 miles from Saunton Sands Hotel (20 mins drive) a taxi will cost you £25.

Cycling: For those of you who fancy a bit of a challenge and a very scenic ride Dave Beard will be coordinating a charity bike ride from all around the region to Saunton Sands. Details to follow on the SASWR website

Is there parking at the Hotel?

There is parking at Saunton Sands Hotel but this tends to fill up so get there early or alternatively there is plenty of parking at Saunton Sands beach (you will need to pay at the machine on leaving)

Where can I stay for SASWR 2019?

Saunton Sands Hotel is offering rooms at rate of £110 per person, per night for delegates. Please quote SASWR when you book as rooms have been ring-fenced for us. Note that SASWR (the Society) does not take any responsibility for your accommodation.

There are numerous hotels in Barnstaple and Croyde and plenty of other options nearby as it is a holiday destination and still out of season.

Where can I keep my bicycle and/or surfboard?

There is plenty of room at the hotel for bikes and boards to be securely stashed.

How much does registration cost?

Delegate rates represent real value for such a high quality scientific programme. You must be a member to register; membership is instantly available at this website.
